What is the People thing

I seen msg in lobby of game, that tells all to make their profile current! I went to the People thing on the forum. What is it, a Dating site? I have NO interest in such a thing.
 Plz inform if site is good for anything else?

For one thing I am Not looking for any type of person (male or female)! So the next question of age prefered is bogus too.
  I am a happily married man, who's wife plays CE too and so does my son.

 You may Think it Not a dating thing but it looks like one!

What I did on my profile is All that is gonna be there.

enter ALL, so you search woman, man, couples..so everything..

My intention is still, to give the community a chance for more real life meetings, so it is very usefull to be able to find people in your near with same interests

One of the same interest is playing D2+CE, but probably in your neighborhood there is someone also happy about talking about flowers like you (yes areally bad example..:) )

Hmm, and the dating site script, has the best abilities for managing such profiles, without writing own software, what i m not able to

We all like th community, cause of its famility, and I still think, your are more familiar, if you know some little things

Thats the reason for the daily birthday posts, itÄs a little but familiar thing...cause you also will congratulate your sister , or brother , so you can also congratulate your party member on the realm

Therefore some data is needed, like birthday, your interests and so on...the script has some must have fields, i already was able to disable some, but i m not able to cap all of them, cause of the functionality

think about, what is Chaos Empire...if you can tell me..only a game...then i will ask you..why not playing on bnet...if you answer the difference..you know..why my main effort goes into such little things around the game...

who knows, in a few month, years..there will be another game..but still the same people, still the same community..

there are people comming and going..its like your cousin 23th degree...but also i meet still people..i know since years...this is more like a cousin of much less degree

hopefully i was explain a little bit of my vision behind CE, d2 is only a game...only virtual...CE has something more...real....
