My strategy is fine.  I never really played anything except Amazons and Assassins before CE.  I have a had characters reach 80+ HC before and I have a Golemancer that is almost lvl 80 (lost interest in playing him after I couldnt gamble Full Trangs in over 2 weeks with almost non-stop gambling) 

I got tired of seeing Frozen Orb / M. Swarm / Nova sorc's so I wanted to try a sorc I saw (the Lightning Fury Sorc) which was the "Wild" sorc webby was talking about.
Was... different is all I can say ^.^

Also when the ladder reset, I had a amazon who was #2 in the ladder for some time.  I deleted her to prove a point to my friends that ladder stats mean nothing.  (ladder would mean something if it was a constant battle to the top and if top person could be "challenged" but all it is right now is a race to 100 and then that character "retires" so account owner can brag) 

But you don't need "super" gear to survive in HC.  Gear and things like Farn's/ogden's just enhance your character.  If you character build ever depends on those things to work, then it is a bad build.  (and yes the amazon was over lvl 30 too)

But the perma decrepify (or new speed) gives the monsters too much of an advantage.  Also I recall a discussion about trying to make melee more common on CCC.  Slowing down toons only encourages RANGED play to surive.  Kind of a step backwards if you ask me.

DarkKatGirl mentioned that she would stay in the forum, and play SP ver 7.66 SP0.  Also invited other SP players to TCP with her.  She's OK.

I want to keep this forum board free and clean of personal/personalty comments; we can disagree, even sharply, without verbal razors (or pipe wrenches).

Toss me apples, I'll boil them with sugar & cinnamon until they're a nice goopy sauce, and stir in the whine.  *Killer* sauce on pork chops.

We play nice, OK?
