I don't have a readme by now, but can it be, that there is a certain version number indicated for those recipes?
If you are uncertain about some recipes, have a look at:
http://chaosempire.eu/d2items/index.php?action=cube
That should always be the current version.

1: You can make a separate install of D2-LOD-CE for a version that has the morph ammy cube recipe, and create morph amulets there.  Place them on "naked start" characters, and move the character file from the old version to the new.  If the char doesn't load, that morph recipe can't be used even indirectly.  Repeat until you have the ones you want that will carry over.

2: If I recall correctly (and the memory is old) the amulet generated is RE-ROLLED so it doesn't matter what attributes were on the old ammy.

3: I've never tried moving a "naked start" character from a new version to an older version, which (if it works) you can do to move the boss doll to the old version from where you find it in the new version where you can work the morph ammy recipe.

4: A morph ammy made with a character doll would be cool.  I look like a paladin (because I have a morph ammy on my barb character), my rogue looks like a necromancer (for the other morph ammy).

Phoenix:
You can create the morph-amu in an older version and put it into the shared stash. You dont need to get the old character working in the new version.

well ok i suppose ill hafta try that :p i made a hammerdin "summoner" back in teh day and it was amazing..
