Why is teleport disabled on just about all the maps?  I use it to keep my merc by me but now I cant even do that?  In the next SP could you remove it from the sorc list since its useless and give us something we can use instead ^.^

Also there are alot of maps where players cannot use town portals, not to rush but if they die they have to run 3 maps to get to body because they cant use team members town portal.  Why is this like this? A bug?

CE let telaport work on more maps and / or pull the mercs and other secondary characters to you.

CE you know I be a generalist in SP. ???

Actually the quests for the new act CE made would be easier if they had way points.  instead of using act I for Way Points, why not use Act IV where the game only has three (you can use all the free slots for the new Act Way points).  The new quest is fun, its just too many parts that are one shot or you have one chance to finish.

Teleport was abused, sorely, as a mechanism to bypass the game rather than play it.  Tweaking teleport to leave it a useful power, without enabling a game-bypass ability is still in progress.

In some places teleports works line-of-sight, in other places it has a range of Zero (where it's the VERY useful "summon minion" skill) in other places it's fully capable and in others fully disabled.

This *really* baffles the ShadowMaster AI (which is more Artificial than Intelligence in the first place) who insists on Dragon Flight attacks in teleport-disabled areas.

Request to Joe: Never disable teleport, but set range to zero where it is abused to bypass the game, so it always functions as "summon minion".  The skelli necros will thank you profusely.  Having it ALWAYS be line-of-sight would be cool (never through walls, never across un-crossable areas).  Giving it a casting delay of 3 seconds minus .1 second per hard point in the skill would stop most abuse with teleport.

Many places, you cannot take a town portal if you have not completed prior quests in that act.  Going into the Catecombs via TP is impossible unless you've completed the Charsi quest.  This is an anti-rush feature.  Since I'm *always* completing all quests as I go, I never run into this problem, and can't tell you all the areas where this anti-rush feature manifests.

Webby your ight, I hate rushers too.
It spoiled B-Net, have someone askin to be rushed thru the quests
I had friends thst would help you out getting items but would not rush you thru the whole act, which was only right.

The act 3 torance defile (if thats the name) last quest was always a good place to get good items.

It is a pain trying to keep my rouge and Valkie near.

So if a group of players are going to get to Andy and someone dies in jail 3, nobody can enter a tp until they have killed andy?  Is that how the anti-rush works? Shouldnt it be you cant take portals FROM people who have done the quest to prevent rush and not people who are trying to do it legit?

But those aren't CE's fault, blizzard put those in.

I agree with a line of sight tele just so you cant go through walls (where it was abused).

If you die in Jail 3, you start over... in HC.
In SC, go naked to the Jail 1 wp and run back to your body.  Hopefully you cleared the path the first time so that you can make the run naked.
Yes, taking wp's of people who haven't finished the next quest would reduce the abuse.  Eliminating TP's entirely would make an interesting twist on the game.

In SP a telaport is the only way to get to your body.
