Topic: Battle.net Password Problem

Hi,

I searched the forums but didn't find anything related to this. I created some accounts using both regular LoD and using the Web form from this website to register battle.net accounts. While trying to connect with any of the accounts I created it always says I got the wrong password (and I'm sure after having tried several dozen times).

I've used the in-game function to send passwords through mail but it doesn't seem to be working.

Any ideas on what this could be ?

HAHA! I dont feel so stupid anymore, lol. I've been trying to get on my account for about two days now, same thing no replies when requesting via mail. I even tried to change my password from the old one, to the same thing. I got a notice from IGN saying it was changed, and I still got nowhere. -sigh- Any suggestions for a fiending D2 addict?

First of all, you are only allowed to create one account for the Chaos Core Community Realm. And the account has to be the same like your account at this forum.

The in-game Password-Recovery function is afaik disabled, because depending on the account creation over this webformula.

The only way to get a new password is a pm to ChaosEnergy himself.

You have to tell him any of your multiple created accounts, because only one will be activated, the others if existing on the gameserver will be disabled.

While it is true that you can only have one account for one person, it is fair to try a second time if the first time appears not to succeed.

So I agree with DrowElf, write a PM to Chaos indicating what the forum and online account name should be and what password you want to use;
also give him the names of the other accounts you want disabled (since they aren't functional it's no loss if they're deleted).

As one helplessly addicted D2/LOD fan to you others: WELCOME!  We'll get you in and running ASAP, so you don't "go postal" or something ;^)

I read the ToS so I knew about the single account thing but I thought I could have made a mistake creating the original one.

I'll try PMing him right away.

ChaosEnergy hasn't been able to answer me yet and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas to other things I could try to fix this ? Considering me and my friends restarted only for this mod it'd be sad if we can't play together.

you are not the only one with the password problem, it happens more often lately, but i have no idea when or why... so you can't do anything but to wait for chaos
